Located on the corner of Avenida de las Américas and Avenida Racine, Cala del Yacht is a mixed-use development that includes residential, corporate and commercial areas. Nature is the protagonist of this project facing Lake Calcagno and Roosevelt Park.

The project is made up of three stages. The first includes the construction of 2 towers for residential purposes.

The towers are structured in a basement, a commercial ground floor, thirteen floors that support the main program and a last one with amenities. A typical floor plan is proposed with the circulation and services core in the center. The towers are free-standing, freeing up the facades and optimising the views.

The reinvention of Punta Cala, a widely recognised pre-existing facility, is proposed as the prow of the project and the development of neighbouring lots.

 

The design of the facades is based on a modulation that combines rhythms for openings, shelves and planters that integrate nature into the buildings. Concrete details and wooden lattices seek contrast with the use of glass on the facades. The expression of horizontal lines is reinforced with slab edges and glass railings.

Visual permeability and extension of use are used through terraces that project into the landscape. The spaces between the buildings allow for a physical and visual connection between the park, Racine Avenue and the Lake. Cala del Yacht is an architectural project that provides a new urban image where architecture and landscape complement each other harmoniously.

The site's landscape potential is complemented by a fluid relationship with important road connectors and first-rate facilities. Notable among these are the Carrasco International Airport, the Ciudad de la Costa civic centre and the logistics corridor of the Interbalnearia Route that quickly connects with Punta del Este and other coastal resorts.

The new two-level shopping centre is marked by transparency, luminosity and warmth. Its volume is structured around the diagonal that leads to the shopping promenade on the lake. It will have services, shops, restaurants, parking and open space for recreational and sporting activities where the landscape will be the protagonist.
