General Information
Located in Parque Batlle, one of the most typical neighborhoods of Montevideo, 01 Vila is born. It arrives to add and contribute modernity, warmth and value to one of the localities with the greatest development and potential of the Uruguayan capital. A sustainable and technological development that connects green areas with the main avenues of the city and convenient access to health centers and faculties. A project located according to its conception.
Top-level technology merges with sustainable resources to pave the way for a connected and conscious lifestyle. 81 apartments developed in two high-rise blocks of six levels each and a low-rise block of three levels with terraces on the third floor, thus forming a unique project in the area.
With a focus on the housing concept, 01 Vila is a development in which nature, sustainable mobility and technology are part of the design. 3 independent blocks are linked through framed green patios that, thanks to their native vegetation, become the key element of the design. The facades are lined with flowerbeds along their entire length, which, together with the colour of the building, give a natural, sensitive and contemporary image.
Green spaces run throughout the entire project, creating areas for the personal enjoyment of each owner. Four interior gardens and a front garden, each connected and decorated with a different native tree, connect the neighbours with nature and create a feeling of home.
On the ground floor, a bike parking area and a cycle path promote conscious mobility, while the addition of an organic garden on the terrace invites natural living and encourages the integration of a neighbourhood community.
Focusing on the present, the building includes top-level technological equipment. Home automation for access control, lighting controls in common areas and apartments, and automation of mechanical curtains allow for shaping the lifestyle and offering comfort to residents. Bluetooth technology is also integrated into common areas to connect audio and video devices in case of an event or meeting.
01 Vila has a comprehensive diagnosis regarding EDGE environmental certification. The project meets the standards for efficiency in energy and water consumption, and energy incorporated in materials, which allows progress to be made on the EDGE certification process. During the design process and to develop the diagnosis, the project team incorporated EDGE-accredited professionals.
Facade design that includes adequate proportions of glazing, ensuring views and at the same time the least amount of energy loss through the envelope. Insulation of exterior walls and roof, which allow a significant level of thermal comfort with a low amount of additional energy to be incorporated by users and high-performance glass, in the most compromised orientations.
